ICM Pharma COPHADYL COUGH LINCTUS contains an anti-allergy Promethazine and cough suppressant Codeine, in combination it used for the relief of cough associated with upper respiratory symptoms due to allergy or the common cold.

Active Ingredients

Each teaspoon (5mL) contains:

  • Promethazine Hydrochloride BP 3.6mg
  • Codeine Phosphate BP 9.0mg

Uses

  • It is indicated for the temporary relief, especially at night, of dry, irritating coughs such as post influenzal cough, cough due to pharyngitis or laryngitis, whooping cough and smokers cough.
  • It is also indicated for dry cough associated with congested or runny nose.

Sip and swallow slowly without water.

  • Children and adolescents: Codeine should not be used in children below 12 years old. In those 12 years old and above, codeine may be used for the treatment of unproductive cough which is not relieved by other anti-tussives alone. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest possible duration.
  • Adults and children 12 years old and above: Take one to two 5ml spoonfuls two to three times daily.
  • Strictly not for use in infants six months of age and younger.
  • Not recommended for use in children below the age of two.
  • It should be used in children 2 years and above.
  • Not for use in patients who are hypertensive to promethazine and codeine.
  • May cause drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or operate machinery.
  • Store in cool place.
  • Protect from light.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
